Up at 4am. We catch the bus at 6am. I make a last minute decision to carry a light shirt. So to the car to grab my shirt (more weight ";:$@&!!) luckily the bus stop, hotel and where we left the car are all on same side of Lone Pine. Onto the bus with a bunch of hikers. Listened to long hair red neck by David Allan Coe on eastern sierra rapid transit radio! While we ate our raw Tofuuuu sandwiches. The Sierra is lit up with the sunrise. Justifying it's nick name the range of light. We spend next 6 1/2 hours switching busses and getting to Yosemite. We pick up our permit from the ranger station and our given a fewWAG bag to carry all the way to Whitney ;:/!?$&!, More weight. We suffered the Luxury of eating twice in restaurants in Yosemite valley.
