On the descent looking back up Mott canyon with Red and White Mountain in background is spectacular. The pictures I took don't capture the beauty. The day feels like The Weight by The Band.

Climbed Silver Pass saw a new flower Tolmie's saxifrage. Long grueling descent and we don't break much as we are making sure we get to ferry on lake Thomas Edison to get to VVR. We make it with an hour 45 to spare. Ate lunch (Mexican Rice) while we wait on ferry and chatted with hikers about pack weight, what to carry and what not to, mileage and other assorted issues.
