We have a cooked breakfast and do the ferry shuffle since the ferry (seats 20) is busted and we queue to catch small boats (seats 4). A F16 fighter buzzes us half way across the lake and the captain admits that he almost shit his pants.

We climb bear ridge and I suffer after a day off. Feels like Back in the Saddle Again by Aerosmith. We climb through Aspens and Juniper.

We stop for lunch after finishing the climb to bear ridge(mushroom risotto) and stop to cool our feet in Bear Creek.

We finish the day with relatively cool temperatures hiking along bear creek with it's waterfalls and pools. We can see 7 Gables from our campsite.
Today's mileage was 12. Our watches were within 0.1 miles of each other. The map mileage was 10. Another day with 20% more mileage. 🥹
