Hiked over Glen pass. Got to top just before 11 and the storm. Spotted some grouse on the way up.

The top was stunning with the weather on both sides. After all the passes we have done we are getting used to the crazy climbs over mountains, but Glenn is like a knife blade.

Feels like Xanadu by Rush. Hiked down in rain coats and eventually rain pants. After 9 miles called it quits. We made it a couple of miles up Kearsarge Pass trail. We thought we were on the low trail that went by Kearsage lakes but ended up on the high one meaning we would have to add more miles to our hike for water and camp. We were saved by a small brook cutting the trail. Filled up on water then found a campsite on a granite escarpment. We set the tent in the rain. Our camp was probably the coolest yet.

Later, just like yesterday the weather broke long enough for tea and dinner ( cheesy pasta Bolognese!). It rained all night, finally stopping after midnight.
